Nina gets her wisdom teeth pulled.

Travis » 12 September 2008 » In Uncategorized » No Comments

Nina had an appointment at 6:45 this morning to get her 4 wisdom teeth pulled. She was deathly scared to go under for the surgery but knew she didn’t want to be awake for it either. The surgery lasted only 45 minutes and we were on our way home. Everything went smoothly and we now have a diet of apple sauce, jell-o, soup and pasta. I took some pictures of the inside of Nina’s mouth but decided it would probably be best to leave those out. So here’s a solo shot of Nina right before the surgery.

New website….again

I got so sick and tired of having to archive each and every page into each month and then update all the links. I don’t really need to impress anyone with my website skills, so I figured I would go the blog route. It will allow me to update the site no matter what my location is. I will still be doing picture albums as separate pages and you will be able to access everything that was on the site before.

I’m still working out all the kinks and hope to have everything up shortly.

Oh…and you can now leave us comments too.

The following day from returning from Minnesota, we had my mom come and visit. It was her first time seeing our place and it was great to show her where we live and our new lives out here in Colorado. We got the chance to celebrate Christmas (better late than never) as well as many other fun things. Thanks Mom for coming. We can’t wait until you come back with Grandma and Grandpa.

We bought a new car!

Nina » 15 September 2007 » In Uncategorized » No Comments

After driving “The Anger” for over 5 years, I was definitely due for a new car! We purchased a black Toyota RAV4. My nano hooks right up to the stereo system and it has bluetooth capabilites. I went from no cup holders to 10!!! Beat that! Travis loves the car too and will drive it when it snows so he is safe with the 4WD. We haven’t named her yet; however, the Bockhackers call her Lil Kim!

The trek from CA to CO

Travis » 28 July 2007 » In Uncategorized » No Comments

We moved to Castle Rock, CO. Nina and I have been searching for jobs in Colorado and just a few weeks before the wedding, Nina was offered a position at Chaparral High School in Parker, CO. She will be working as a special education aide starting on August 13. So we got married; returned for 2 weeks and stayed with our good friends, Nate and Jessica. What fun it was to stay at the Carlson’s! WE LOVE THEM!

During those 2 weeks we took the time to get all packed up. We decided to pack all our stuff in ReloCubes (which are very similar to PODs) and had it shipped out to a facility in Denver. We then got in the car and took off through the Rockies. Our stuff arrived a day after we arrived and packed it all in a U-Haul and moved it from Denver to our apartment in Castle Rock. Thanks Laura (and Eric) for all your help settling into our new place!

Travis and I tied the knot! We had the time of our lives and couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. Thank you to all of you who came and witnessed the amazing day. We were honored to have so many family members and friends with us, and thrilled that many of our out of town guests could make it too. I hope all who joined us on our special day had as much fun as we did! Here are a few pictures from our photographer, Chris Humphreys, blog. We look forward to seeing the rest of our photos and will share them with you all soon. We will do our best to post frequently so that we can stay in touch with you all!
